Products

The VelDon products are aimed at gaining insight into the coordination and stability of the trunk region and the extremities. Using this insight, we can provide improvements to the current method of working within science. It started with the FlexChair/TBT as a testing and training unit to improve passive sitting behaviour in the workplace, and has grown into a line of products where core stability and coordination can be looked at and trained through the modern techniques that we have available to us.

Balance Trainer & Balance Board
request information

The balance trainer is a testing and training device used to assess the stability and coordination of the entire body. Through a screen, movements are recorded and compared to a previously given screen exercise. The results are linked to coordination and stability, following the principal “minimal exertion, maximal gain”. The results are clear and obvious for you, as a patient and anyone you would wish to show them to.

Trunk Balance Trainer

VelDon® has developed the innovative FlexChair/TBT. By using this evidence-based Trunk Balance testing- and training unit, certified physiotherapists can treat and assess the active stability of the lower back. By mounting a transmitter onto the FlexChair/TBT and a receiver on the screen, the back functions that are being tested can be seen and recorded through a visual computer programme. The assessment executed using the FlexChair/TBT, is called the Personal Active Back-test, also known as the PAB test.

Neck Trainer

The cervical trainer consists of an adjustable headband that has a transmitter connected to the top. This sensor can measure forwards, backwards, sideways and rotationary movements. With these movements, it is possible to gain insight into the behaviour of cervical movements. This sensor can also be adjusted according to sensitivity, known as the sensor correction factor. In general, the area in which movements are made can be determined in one of the following; upper, middle or lower cervical regions.

sensor & receiver

The sensor and the receiver form a great support material for many different feedback applications. The sensor is the size of a matchbox and can pinpoint locations all through space in three dimensions. The sensor can be seen on the screen as a moving, brightly coloured dot. The signals from the sensor are translated by the receiver, which looks like a flash drive. The sensor and the receiver make up the hardware of the VelDon method.

Additional Material

Additional material, provided by VelDon, is the material necessary to guide clients in your practice or at home, in an effective way, to improve their trunk and body stability and coordination. Below, you can find a short summary and brief descriptions of these materials. If you are a therapist that is about to start using the VelDon method, it is advisable to read the following carefully.
